Before founding Backstory, Callia was pivotal in developing inclusive and diverse marketing and impact initiatives at renowned brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Teen Vogue. The launch of Backstory was a direct response to the profound societal shifts of 2020, including the global Black Lives Matter movement and the increased focus on diversity and inclusion. This pivotal moment ignited Callia's exploration of how she could contribute more significantly to changing and diversifying the world around her.
